Taiwo Hassanat Bawa-Muhammad is a committed public health professional with a background in nursing and midwifery and a strong focus on improving maternal, newborn, adolescent, and child health (MNACH) outcomes in Nigeria. She holds a Master of Public Health with a specialization in Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights.
In her role at Kaba Primary Healthcare Centre in Abuja, she oversees primary healthcare services, including obstetric care, and coordinates essential MNACH services while fostering collaboration among healthcare professionals to provide culturally sensitive care. As Director of the Brighter Maternal and Child Health Foundation, Taiwo advocates for women’s sexual and reproductive health rights, empowers women through education and support, and is passionate about building a more equitable healthcare system for Nigerian women and children.
