Nwamaka Chijioke-Chukwu (Assistant State Quality Assurance Officer, Anambra State Tuberculosis, Buruli Ulcer and Leprosy Control Program) is a public health leader committed to strengthening infectious disease programs and advancing resilient health systems in Nigeria. She serves with the Anambra State Tuberculosis, Buruli Ulcer and Leprosy Control Program, where she coordinates Drug-Resistant Tuberculosis (DR-TB) services across multiple health facilities, improving care coordination, patient follow-up, and multidisciplinary collaboration. She also contributes to program accountability and quality improvement as the program’s Safeguarding (PSEAH) Focal Person and Assistant State Quality Assurance Officer. With over a decade of experience spanning diagnostics, program implementation, and community health leadership, Nwamaka works at the intersection of clinical services, laboratory systems, and community engagement to improve outcomes for vulnerable populations. She holds an MSc in International Public Health from Liverpool John Moores University and is passionate about guiding emerging public health professionals and women leaders. Outside work, she enjoys mentoring young women to build self-awareness, discover purpose, and develop their leadership potential.
