Noila Sorenson is Acting Director in the Office of Global Affairs at the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), where she covers global health issues related to Europe and Eurasia and G7 and G20 affairs. Prior to coming to HHS, Noila worked for a variety of organizations active in global health issues and foreign policy, including the Campaign for Tobacco-Free Kids (CTFK), the American Cancer Society, and the British Embassy in Uzbekistan. Noila holds an MPA in International Management from American University and a BS in Financial Management from Tashkent State Technical University. From 2003-2005, she was an Edmund S. Muskie Graduate Fellow. Noila is fluent in Russian and Uzbek.
