Dr. Megan McHenry is a pediatrician and Associate Professor of Pediatrics at Indiana University School of Medicine (IUSM) working in the field of pediatric global health. Her research, funded by multiple NIH grants, focuses on early childhood development in resource-limited settings, applying community-driven approaches and dissemination and implementation science to drive meaningful change. Dr. McHenry’s research focuses on neurodevelopment in children born to mothers living with HIV and her program is based in Eldoret, Kenya in partnership with Moi University and the Academic Model Providing Access to Healthcare (AMPATH) program.
Dr. McHenry is deeply committed to education and mentorship at IUSM. She is a strong advocate for improving global child health, working to ensure all children are safe, well-nourished, and have access to quality healthcare and education to reach their full potential. Through her strong dedication to advancing child health globally, she is inspiring a new generation of scientists and clinicians, and instilling hope for improved outcomes for children worldwide.
