Leungo is a public health professional with 9+ years experience working in HIV, malaria & neglected tropical disease (NTD) programs. Before joining WomenLift Health, Leungo worked in the malaria & NTDs program at Clinton Health Access Initiative as the Deputy Regional Manager for the Southern Africa portfolio. She has a wealth of experience managing projects, coordinating teams and working with various stakeholders including Ministries of Health and implementing partners.

Leungo holds a Master of Social Science in Global Studies from the University of Cape Town. She has a keen interest in social and behaviour change, health communication strategies and participatory and inclusive community engagement approaches to improve access to and uptake of healthcare services. She strongly believes in equity and inclusivity within workplaces and communities and is dedicated to ensuring that people are ‘seen’, equipped with the resources they need to excel and operate in environments that propel them to be the best versions of themselves.

In her spare time, Leungo serves as a Trustee for Botho Corps Trust, which aims to improve the welfare and wellbeing of children, youth and underserved communities in Botswana. She enjoys reading, running, and is studying to become a professional nature guide.
