Funmilola Adio (Resident Doctor, University of Benin Teaching Hospital) is a medical doctor and public health professional with a strong focus on maternal and child health, health systems strengthening, and improving access to quality healthcare services in resource-limited settings. She is currently a resident doctor in the Department of Public Health and Community Medicine, University of Benin Teaching Hospital, Edo State, Nigeria, where her work combines clinical experience with research aimed at improving health outcomes for women and children. Her research interests include access to maternal and child health services, quality of care, and the translation of evidence into policies and programs that strengthen health systems. She has been involved in research, community health initiatives, and health system interventions designed to improve service delivery and public health practice. She is passionate about using evidence-based approaches to advance equitable healthcare and support healthier communities. Fun fact: Outside of work, she enjoys music ministry and finds joy in singing and serving in her church community.
