Dr. Claire Chaumont is special advisor to UCLA Chancellor on strategic plan initiatives. In this role, she is tasked with driving execution of UCLA’s strategic plan. She previously worked in a similar position with the World Health Organization to spearhead its Triple Billion targets, WHO’s new strategy to improve the health of billions by 2025. As part of a new Department focused on implementation, she implemented new processes and approaches to increase WHO’s impact at country level, through a sustained focus on results, priority-setting, implementation and delivery.
Over the course of her career, Claire has worked extensively on strategic planning, translating evidence into policy, resource allocation and service delivery across more than fifteen countries. A public health expert, her technical areas of expertise include global governance for health, health systems strengthening and financing, and Health in All policies.
A Fulbright Scholar, Claire received her Doctorate in public health from Harvard University, a master in health policy planning and financing from the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine and a master in international business from Sciences Po Paris.
