Alawiyatu Ibrahim (Volunteer Executive Director, Nananu Women and Youth Development Foundation) is a dedicated Public Health Specialist and Nurse/Midwife with a bachelor’s degree in nursing science and a master’s degree in public health. She has extensive experience working with the Primary Health Care Development Board in collaboration with multiple development partners, serving in roles such as service provider, Immunisation District Coordinator, and Program Officer across Maternal and Child Health, Family Planning, and Nutrition. At the state level, she has contributed as a Gender Focal Person and Immunisation Supervisor, supporting equitable and quality healthcare delivery. She currently serves as a volunteer Executive Director at Nananu Women and Youth Development Foundation, where she promotes community development and women’s empowerment. She is an active member of global health platforms, including the American Society for Nutrition, Boost Community, and the Geneva Learning Foundation. She is adaptable, working effectively both independently and within teams to improve community health outcomes.
