Adaeze Okonkwo (Deputy Director of Health Systems, Federal Ministry of Health and Social Welfare),  is a Consultant Community and Public Health Physician with strong expertise in health systems strengthening, strategic planning, and evidence‑based policy development. As Deputy Director, Health Systems in the Department of Health Planning, Research and Statistics, she provides technical leadership for national health policy formulation and the design of frameworks that enhance service delivery and governance. In addition, she serves as Deputy Coordinator of the Sector‑Wide Approach (SWAp) Coordination Office, supporting the alignment of partner investments with national priorities and promoting effective donor coordination. Through this role, it contributes to improved aid effectiveness, accountability, and harmonised health sector planning. With a strong foundation in community medicine and implementation of public health programs, she is recognised for a systems‑thinking approach and a commitment to building resilient, equitable health systems that improve population health outcomes.
