Adebola Ehizele (Professor, University of Benin Teaching Hospital) is a Nigerian periodontologist, researcher, and academic leader at the University of Benin Teaching Hospital and the University of Benin. She is dedicated to advancing oral health research, education, and clinical care in resource-constrained settings. As a faculty member, she teaches undergraduate and postgraduate students in Periodontology, researches oral health inequalities and the determinants of oral health, and has published over 80 articles in peer-reviewed journals. Clinically, she provides preventive oral health care, oral health promotion, and both nonsurgical and surgical periodontal therapy. She also leads multidisciplinary dental teams, mentoring residents and other oral health professionals to deliver high-quality patient care. Her work focuses on translating research evidence into practical solutions that improve access to oral healthcare for underserved populations. Outside work, she enjoys mentoring young people and speaking at faith-based and youth development meetings.
