Jigyasa Sharma

Dr. Jigyasa Sharma is a Senior Health Economist at the World Bank, where she leads lending and analytical work on health system strengthening, quality of care, and person-centered approaches, with a focus on South Asia. Over the past decade, she has worked at the intersection of quality and equity in global health, bringing together academic expertise and policy experience to inform reform. She has led analytical work across all World Bank regions and played a key role in shaping global initiatives such as the Silver Opportunity series on population aging and integrated care, and the Service Delivery Indicators (SDI) health survey program. Jigyasa holds a Doctor of Science in Global Health and Population from Harvard University and an MSc in Epidemiology and Biostatistics from McGill University. She believes in the power of inclusive mentorship to build a more diverse and representative generation of global health leaders and is committed to contributing to that change. Jigyasa Sharma
