Atlang Mompe, MPH is a Senior Technical Public Health Advisor with over 15 years of experience advancing women’s health, infectious and non-communicable disease prevention, and health systems strengthening across Botswana, Eswatini, Namibia, Uganda, Jamaica, and the United States. She holds a Master of Public Health from The George Washington University and brings interdisciplinary expertise in epidemiology, mixed-methods research and evaluation, program design, strategic planning, and technical assistance for large-scale, multi-donor public health initiatives.
Throughout her career, Atlang has led national, disease-specific needs assessments, prevention, care, and treatment programs, and contributed to the design of integrated service delivery models spanning HIV, oncology, and broader institutional reform in resource-limited and complex policy environments. Her work bridges technical rigor with cross-sector collaboration across diverse cultural contexts.
An accomplished researcher, she has co-authored peer-reviewed publications in HIV, TB/HIV, sexually transmitted infections, maternal and child health, emerging infectious diseases, and oncology-related systems transformation. She has presented globally across Africa, Asia, Europe, the Caribbean, and the United States, and has facilitated regional and international workshops focused on leadership development, data-informed decision-making, and institutional capacity building.
