Pam Factor-Litvak
Dr. Pam Factor-Litvak is a globally known expert on the effects of environmental contaminants on children’s health.  She is Professor of Epidemiology, Vice Chair for Research of the Department of Epidemiology and Associate Dean for Research Resources at the Mailman School of Public Health, Columbia University.  Dr. Factor-Litvak serves on the Executive Committee of the Child Health, Infections and Pollution Global Consortium and is one of the directors of a large training program combining environmental science, epidemiological methods and data science.

Dr. Factor-Litvak’s research interests are at the intersection of life course methods and environmental health.  She has published widely on the adverse associations between toxic metals and chemicals and a variety of health outcomes.  More recently, she is evaluating associations between conditions in peri-urban slum areas and children’s health.
